How has Lincoln Land Community College impacted your life?

Earning my associate degree from ÂÌñÉç allowed me to complete a lifelong quest to earn a bachelor’s degree.

What is your greatest accomplishment?

After graduating from ÂÌñÉç, I immediately transferred to MacMurray College and attended full time while also working full time. I graduated from Mac in two years.

Was there a professor, advisor, staff member or fellow student who made an impression on you or helped you when you were here at ÂÌñÉç?

Several instructors were catalysts to my success – Bonnie Verhulst, Pam Daniel and Roger McClintock are at the top of the list.

Has Lincoln Land been a part of your family tradition?

My niece attended ÂÌñÉç and later earned her bachelor’s in social work at MacMurray.

What did you like about ÂÌñÉç or what was your favorite ÂÌñÉç memory?

The instructors were extremely helpful and took the time to assist students when needed. Also, I’ve gained friends for life — other students that I would not have met otherwise, we studied together and still keep in touch.

Is there anything else that you would like to share?

I recently received a Paul Harris Fellowship from the Jacksonville Rotary. I serve on the Jacksonville Area Chamber of Commerce as the education division chair, on the Jacksonville Commission of Disabilities and Human Relations as chair, on the Passavant Hospital Auxiliary Board and on the Jacksonville Promise Board.
